Charles "Gorden" Bugden

Bugden, Charles “Gorden”- The passing occurred on Friday August 15, 2014 at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash with family by his side of C. Gorden Bugden, 77 of Bible Hill. Gorden was born in Trenton, the son of the late Benjamin and Josephine (Mooring) Bugden. Gorden was a valuable employee of Bell Aliant for twenty-seven and a half years, retiring in 1993. He served five years in the R.C.A.F, working as a radar tech on the Pine Tree Line. Gorden loved fishing and hunting, enjoying much time with nature. He loved to travel the world. Gorden was also a regular presence at the Legion and Horsemen’s Club. Gorden is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Wade), his precious daughter Tania (Ian) McElhinney, Onslow; sisters, Jean (Wilson) Ravenhill, Muriel (Fred) Myers, Elizabeth Dale, Anna (Norman), Bertha McNeil; sisters-in-law Muriel, Elaine and Kaye Bugden, also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Neil (Beulah), Alton, Leslie (Joyce), Danny, William, Scott in infancy and sisters Verna (Harry Johnson); Ada (Ed Nickerson); brothers-in-law Donald McNeil and Leonard Dale. Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 20th from 6-8 p.m. with the funeral service on Thursday August 21st at 2 pm with Rev. Donna Lawrence officiating, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. Interment will follow at the Bible Hill Cemetery. Donations in Gorden’s memory may be made to the Colchester Palliative Care or the VON.
