Shirley Eileen Heidl, 86 - North Sydney
Shirley Eileen Heidl, of North Sydney, (formerly of Sydney Mines) passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2014, at the Northside General Hospital, at the age of 86.
Born in Sydney Mines on July 7, 1928, Shirley was the daughter of the late Frank and Ashley (Dawe) Heidl.
As an Administrative Dietitian, Shirley began her career in food service management for McDonald College in Montreal and later at Alberta Hospital in Edmonton until her retirement in 1989. An avid traveller and sports fan, she was blessed with friends across the country. She will be greatly missed.
Shirley is survived by her brother James, sister-in-law Carolyn, and niece Jane.
Cremation has taken place and she will be remembered at a 'Celebration of Life' and Interment at a later date.
