STRAIGHT, CHARLES A. – Charles Albert Straight of Youngs Cove passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Oromocto Public Hospital, with family by his side. Born at Cambridge Narrows, NB on January 6, 1944, he was a son of the late Albert and Beatrice (Lovely) Straight. Charles served with the Canadian Armed Forces for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and enjoyed family history, crossword puzzles, world news and history, reading, and church activities. Charles is survived by a sister, Cora Johnson; brothers Allan Straight (Jackie), Robert Straight (Cathy), Stephen Straight (Doris), John Straight (June), and Jimmy Straight; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Muriel Straight, Jean Perry, Evelyn Johnson; a nephew, Benjamin Straight; and brothers-in-law Raymond Johnson and Harold Maher.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service, which will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 177 Villa Drive, Hampton. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
