AMES, William Donald. November 4, 1933 – August 24, 2014
Bill was born in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital Palliative Care Ward on August 24, 2014, in his 80th year. He is predeceased by his wife, Yvonne, and daughter Diane. He is survived by longtime partner Dona; brother Keith (Donna); children Deborah (Kevin), Graham (Tara); granddaughters Naomi (Allan), Janis (Mike), Michelle (Rick); great-grandchildren Drew and Mya, and a large extended family.
Bill was a longstanding member of the Jericho Tennis Club. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Red Cross.
