Born In: Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada
Born: October 24th, 1991

Passed in: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Passed on: August 27th, 2014

It is with profound sadness the family of Nicholas Jackson Frenette announce his peaceful passing at the age of twenty two after a valiant and hard fought battle against Lymphoma on Aug. 27, 2014 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax.
Born in Moncton on Oct. 24, 1991, he was the beloved son of Paul and Jo-Anne Frenette (Frost) and loving brother of Jared. He is also survived by aunts and uncles: Art and Helen Frost, Brenda and Joe Keary and Joe and Susan Benjamin, and several cousins.
Nicholas was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Paul and Geraldine Frenette and maternal grandparents, Fabian and Kay Frost.
Nicholas worked as a metal fabricator, but his true passion in life was making people laugh. His smile being contagious, the room suddenly seemed brighter by his presence. Nicholas loved spending time with his many friends, never missing an opportunity to socialize. Slipping into friendship so easily with so many people, Nick was everyone’s friend. Despite his young age, he had a keen interest in world affairs and was always up for a lively debate.
Nicholas faced his diagnosis with a calm acceptance and fought the disease bravely while managing to keep a sense of humour. Upon being informed by doctors there was nothing further they could do, Nicholas was more concerned about the effect his passing would have on his family, than his own death.
Being so full of life yet then taken so young, Nicholas taught us to never take the time we have for granted.
A celebration of Nicholas’ life will be held Tuesday, Sept. 2. 2014 at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating, reception to follow.
A second service will be held on Friday, Sept. 5, at Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Rd., Dartmouth, at 2 p.m., with interment to follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
To the doctors, nurses and staff of 8A/B of the VG, the family would like to express their sincere thanks for the excellent care Nicholas received.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lymphoma Society, or a charity of choice.
