CORMIER, PAUL - Paul Cormier, 86, of Cap-Pelé passed away at the Villa Providence in Shediac following a lengthy illness. Born July 25, 1928 in Cap-Pelé, he was the son of the late Aimé and Edmée (Landry) Cormier. He was a retired lobster fisherman for 65 years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Germaine née Brun; two children: Jeanne Duguay (Ronald) and Maurice (Sylvie) both of Cap-Pelé; two grandchildren: Sophie Duguay and Maxime Cormier; a sister, Géraldine LeBlanc (late Joe) of Grand-Barachois; two brothers: Freddy (Annette) and Clorice Cormier both of Cap-Pelé; a half-brother, Léo-Paul Cormier (Maria) of Cap-Pelé; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by an infant daughter, Sonia; three sisters: Esther Goguen, Georgia Poirier, Anne-Marie Doucette; two brothers: Acquilla and Roy Cormier.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours Thursday from 2 pm until departure for Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé from where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 4 pm.
