Mrs. Eleanor Ralston (nee Minchin), formerly of New Perth, P.E.I., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Newport Harbour Care Centre in Calgary, at the age of 80 years.
Eleanor was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who could put a smile on all of our faces with her delightful graces. She was an amazing lady and will be greatly missed by all. Eleanor is survived by her sister, Rachel Minchin; her brother, John Minchin; four stepdaughters and their families, Sheila (Kevin) Lewis, Sharon (Arnold) Hagel, Lynne (Darcy Coombs) Ralston, and Barbara (Jim) Bauer; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was predeceased by her loving husband, Melvin J. Ralston; and her sister-in-law, Lois Minchin.
Memorial services will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Cardigan, P.E.I., on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 2 p.m., a luncheon will follow the service.
