Lynn Elizabeth (Wade) DeGrandis

Born In: Cape Breton Island
Born: July 4th, 1956

Passed in: Oakville, Ontario, Canada
Passed on: September 2nd, 2014

It is with the deepest sadness that I announce, on behalf of our family and her many friends and associates, the sudden passing of my sister Lynn (Wade) DeGrandis at the young age of 58.
Lynn was my only sibling and will be terribly missed and I know that our family and her friends feel the same way.
Lynn was predeceased by our parents, William Patrick and Paulina Teresa (Vallas) Wade in 1991 and 1998 respectively.
Born on Cape Breton Island, a place she never truly left, and raised in Sydney River, Lynn lived and worked in Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Alberta and lastly Ontario where she has resided for almost 30 years, primarily in Oakville.
She is a graduate of Acadia University, where she received her BSC Degree. Lynn enjoyed politics from the time she could vote and was an active member of the Liberal party, federally and provincially and participated in municipal politics over the years. Lynn spent her summers in Oakville as a teenager with some of our cousins and loved Ontario, making the circle complete after so many years. Lynn was a dedicated, hard working and long standing employee of CEC Controls in Burlington. She was an active volunteer with the Ontario Equestrian Association and the Ontario Combined Driving Association.
Lynn will be missed by her many friends and associates and her family who must go on without the bright light that she was. Lynn has left us too suddenly, too soon and with too many questions as to why a person so young is no longer with us.
A viewing will commence at 12 noon with a service at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds St., Oakville, Ont.
Goodbye Sis—We’ll always love you!!
In lieu of flowers a donation to the CDN Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
