It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we, the family announce the sudden and unexpected death of our father John 'Moses' Leach on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, at home.
Born in Sydney Mines on Jan. 15, 1959, he was a son of Shirley (Oxford) Tremblay and the late John 'Jack' Leach.
John will forever be remembered for his quick wit, jokes and endless one-liners. He was always willing to help a friend.
Besides his mother, John is survived by his children, John (Melissa), Jennifer and Chris (Michelle); grandchildren, John, Cody, Tori, Gavin, Sophia and a baby on the way; brothers, Richard 'Doug', Gerard, James and Ronnie; sisters, Elaine, Michelle, Theresa and Rhonda; fiancée Catherine and special friends Jackie Johnstone, Bob Cassidy and Vaughan White.
Besides his father, John was predeceased by his brother Mike and sister Heather.
Visitation for John will take place on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Francis Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Parish (formerly St. Pius X Church), Main Street, Sydney Mines, with Fr. Thomas John officiating.
Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
