It is with great sadness the family of Frederick Philpott announces his passing at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on August 30th, 2014 at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn wife Marie; sons Ben (Catherine) of Plate Cove West, Tom (Mary) of Plate Cove West, Ed (Tonda) of Kelligrews, Lar (Wanda) of Shoal Harbour and Glen (Nancy) of Plate Cove West; daughter Regina (Keon) of Mount Pearl; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren plus a large circle of other family and friends. Pre-deceased by son Dean, parents Bernard and Regina. Funeral Mass was officiated by Father Brian Colbert from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Plate Cove, on Monday September 1st with interment following at Roman Catholic Cemetery, Plate Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundon’s Funeral Home, Shoal Harbour.
