BOURQUE, ROGERS - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rogers P. Bourque, on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital at the age of 50, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 21, 1964 in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of Roger and Juliette (Pellerin) Bourque of Moncton. He worked as a truck driver for many years and had received several safety driving awards. Roger was very proud of and dearly loved his nieces and nephew. He also was an avid sports fan in which his two favourite teams were the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Besides his loving parents, Roger will be greatly missed by one sister, Lisa Gallant (Tom) of Moncton; one brother, Brian of New-Hampshire; two nieces: Samantha and Amy Gallant; one nephew, Michael Gallant, as well as several cousins, aunts and uncles. The family wishes to express deepest thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Moncton Hospital for their excellent care provided to Roger.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Thursday September 11, 2014 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Thursday from 10 am until time of funeral. A reception will follow at the centre. In memory of Roger, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
