Aline "Eileen" Holmes

HOLMES, ALINE "EILEEN" - Aline Holmes, 74, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, September 7, 2014. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Delia (Mills) Collette.
Aline was retired from Food Services at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital and attended Paroisse du Christ-Roi. She loved to cook, was an awesome baker, enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, sewing, knitting, art, and in her younger years, drawing and spending precious time with her family and friends. Aline will be sadly missed by her daughters, Jacqueline (Jackie) Seely of Fredericton and Carol Ann Holmes (Guy LeBlanc) of Moncton; son, Kenny John Holmes (Christa) of Greenwood, NS; grandchildren, Nicholas, Taylor and Bryden Seely, Rémi and Alexandra LeBlanc, Matthew, Colby and Megan Holmes; sister, Jeannette Hewett (Fred) of Edmonton, AB; brother, Roger Collette (Gail) of Riverview; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Edward Holmes (1973); son, Michael Holmes (1986); brother, Arthur Junior Collette and sisters, Della Latour, Diane Jones, Linda Marche and Freda Cormier. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Moncton City Hospital as well as offer a special thanks to Dr. Dow, Dr. Lioupis, Dr. Prasad and Dr. Peter Stoddard.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass at Paroisse du Christ-Roi (300 Dominion Street) on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 10:30 am, with Rev. Jean-Guy Dallaire officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the Mass.
