SCOTT, KENNETH CLEMENT - It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Kenneth C. Scott, 82, a lifelong resident of Fredericton, NB, born in Halifax, NS, was called home by God on September 10, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was residing at Ste. Anne’s Court on Duncan Lane with his beloved wife of 61 beautiful years, Lorraine (Tanner) Scott. Ken was President of NB Housing Deputy Minister of Services and Vice President of Lindsay Construction until 1967. He did a tremendous amount of work for the church of St. Dunstan’s and the Holy Family Parish. He was also generous with his time, being involved with the Knights of Columbus and his community. Ken is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his children, Paul (Susan), Beverly-Ann Deveau (Brian Duncan), Richard (Michael Dodds), Mary Coy (Andrew) and Theresa Hughes (Wayne); grandchildren, Jesse, Mark, Nicola and Connor Scott, Michelle and Ryan Deveau, Michael and Alisha Galantai, Ashley Stafford and Jordan Van Liempt and Caleb Hughes; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Sophie Scott, Greyson O’Reilly and Finnagen Stafford; brother, Bill Scott (Pat) and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Loretta (Peake) Scott and his son, Kenny Scott.
There will be no visitation per Ken’s request. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rev. Monte Peters will officiate. Interment will follow in the Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery on Hanwell Road. For those who wish memorial tributes in Kenneth’s honor may be made to Birthright Fredericton Inc. Arrangements have been entrusted to McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York Street and personal condolences can be made at www.mcadamsfh.com.
