Helena Leger

LEGER, HELENA (ELEANOR) - Helena (Eleanor) Leger, 77, wife of Paul Leger of Moncton, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday, September 13, 2014, following a lengthy illness. Born December 1, 1936 in Shemogue, she was the daughter of the late Aurèle and Adeline (Duguay) Duguay. Helena was a retired Registered Nurse and past owner-operator of Klip & Kurl Hair Salon. She also enjoyed Bingo, cards, bowling, aerobics and the Toronto Blue Jays. Besides her husband of 56 years, she is also survived by a daughter, Debbie Morris (Kevin) of Quispamsis; a son, Marc (Phyllis) of Notre-Dame; two grandchildren: Andrew and Rebecca; a brother, Lloyd Duguay (Chris) of Stony Plain, AB; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Dianne, Gladys, Alberta, Irene, Roy, Roger, Bernie and infant Marie.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 18 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Interment will be in Shemogue following the reception. In memory of Helena, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society or NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
