Sept. 6, 1949 - Sept. 14, 2014. It is with love, sadness, and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Samuel Fillier of Upper Island Cove on September 14, 2014 at the age of 65 years. He was a loving husband to his late wife Joyce, a wonderful father to his son Trevor (Lynn), and a caring grand father to Brooke and Claire. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Trevor and daughter-in-law Lynn, granddaughters Brooke and Claire, brother Terry (Shelley) Boone, sister Denise (Greg), Penney, friend and uncle Harmon (Daphne) Fillier ,Brothers-in-law Randolph,(Sandra) Greeley, Will Greeley, Harold (Theresa) Greeley, sisters-in-law, Patsy Greeley (Lee), Sylvia Greeley, Marion Greeley, Barbara Greeley, brother-in-law Freeman Clarke, special niece Mary (Phil) Andrews, and many other close relatives and friends. George is predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Joyce Kathleen Fillier, parents Harold and Shirley Fillier, parents-in-law, Rebecca and William Greeley, brothers-in-law, Malcolm Greeley, Ray Greeley, Winston Greeley, and Max Greeley sisters-in-law Susie Clarke and Betty Greeley. Mr. Fillier will be resting at Lynch's Funeral Home Spaniard's Bay, Funeral service to take place at Lynch's Funeral Home on Thursday September 18th, 2014 at 11am. Cremation to follow. Visitation Tuesday September 16th, 2 - 5pm, 7 - 9pm. Wednesday September 17th, 10 -12noon, 2 - 5pm, 7 - 9pm. and Thursday September 18th, 10 - 11am. Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Peter's Anglican Church Restoration fund Upper Island Cove.
