VAUTOUR, ALPHÉE - (1927 - 2014) - SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB - Alphée Vautour 87, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, Miramichi on Monday, September 15, 2014. Born in Claire-Fontaine, he was the son of the late Jerry Vautour and late Josephine (Daigle) Vautour. Before retiring, Alphée was employed at the Kouchibouguac National Park for 25 years. Alphée will be sadly missed by his three daughters, Valma Hebert (Alonzo) of St. Louis, May Stewart (Ronnie) of Aldouane, Rhonda Stewart (Danny) of St. Louis; five sons, Anthony (Maria) of St. Louis, Arnold (Christiane) of St. Louis, Gary (Elizabeth) of Aldouane, Nelson (Corinne) of Moncton, Camille (Jody) of Main River and very special to him his 15 grandchildren, Marc, Serge, Lisette, O'Neil, Shelley, Michael, Denis, Jocelyne, Emilie, Dania, Justin, Jérémie, Kristen, Karlie, Sophie and 12 great-grandchildren, Jules, Joël, Miguel, Arianne, Samuel, William, Eve-Lyne, Veronic, Alexandre, Audrey, Jacob and Zachary. Alphée is also survived by one sister, Imelda (late Duncan), (late Camille); three brothers, Arthur (late Mona), Sylvain (Mildred), Hase (Hazel); brother-in-law, Aldred and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Hilda Vautour, one infant daughter, Pauline; two sisters, Marianne, Bertha and three brothers, Tom (Della), Ange (Anna) and Hase (at a young age).
Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Friday at 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent. Interment will be in the St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Claire-Fontaine. Donations in Alphée's memory may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Palliative Care Unit at the Miramichi Regional Hospital and would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Bois Jolis and the Palliative Care Unit for the compassionate care Alphée received. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
