Joseph Edgar "Ed" Hickey

Peacefully at Dearness Home, London, ON, on September 25, 2014, in his 85th year.
Beloved husband of Eleanor (Grover) of Hamilton, ON. Dear father of Michael (Dianne), Brian (Jane), Brenda Neiles (Jim), Colleen Gruggen (John), Paul (Laureen), Virginia Nemeth (Frank). Survived by his sisters, Rozita Hickey, Sister Noreen Hickey and Eleanor Miller (Hickey) of Charlottetown, P.E.I., and his brother, Arnold Hickey (Marion) of St. John's, NL. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph Edgar Sr. and Kathleen Hickey (nee Driscoll), and his brother, Lawrence Hickey of Indian River, P.E.I. Dearly loved by his 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Ed worked for Westinghouse for 13 years, and for Inglis for 28 years. He was a choir director for more than 35 years, Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council #6579 and a member of the Right to Life, and many other ministries.

Visitors will be received at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 1 to 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Augustine's Catholic Church on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson's Society.
