Dora Ida Sommerfeld was born September 5, 1918 to William and Julianna Sommerfeld. She was the third child of five. Dora met Nicholas Yaschuk at the coal mine operated by her Uncle Rudolph and Aunt Ida Glombowski. On October 19, 1941 Dora and Nick were married in Moose Jaw, SK. They farmed for many years at Vantage, SK until retiring to Moose Jaw in 1983. Dora is predeceased by her husband Nick, her parents William and Julianna, her only sister Leona Rilling, three brothers, Arthur Sommerfeld, Ernie Sommerfeld and Herb Sommerfeld and her son-in-law Glyn Wells. She leaves to mourn her two children Dianne Wells, and Deles (Yvonne) Yaschuk, her six grandchildren, Melodee and Mike Schwinghamer, Memoree Wells, Tange and Steve Skaggs, Robert and Kristy Yaschuk, Tim and Allison Yaschuk, Sarah and Kent McFarlane. As well as 14 great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on October 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, with Reverend John Kreutzwieser officiating.
