Stephens, Louise Shirley - 92, Truro, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Moose River, Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Naomi Redden. Louise in her earlier years was employed at Layton’s Snack Bar and Fletchers Restaurant. She was a life member of the Colchester Regional Hospital Auxiliary, yearly volunteer with the Hub Bub and member of the Ladies Guild at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. Louise was a great Fortune Teller and enjoyed the company of others. She was a great grower of African Violets. Louise is survived by children, Nancy, Bible Hill, Eric, Truro; grandchildren, Stacy Hayden, Franklin, TN, Erin Brown, Truro, Heather Stephens, Hamilton, ON, Randy, Kirk and Derek all of ON; great-grandchildren, Maegan, Zack, Matt, Padan, Marley, Finley, Kyle and Chelsea; sister, Doris Leamont, Truro; daughter-in-law, Laverne Watt, Debert and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Karl; son, Neil; sisters, Rita, Lottie, Thelma, Evie and Avis; brother, Matthew. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, Pastor Jacquie Ross officiating with burial in Terrace Hill Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Colchester Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
