At the Kings County Memorial Hospital, Montague, with family by her side on September 28, 2014, of Agatha MacDonald (nee McGee), age 84 years, of Perrin’s Marina Villa, formerly of Panmure Island. Wife of the late William MacDonald.
Agatha was born on St. Mary’s Road, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (nee McCarron) McGee.
Mother of Flora (Sterling) Hackett, Margaret (Roger) MacLeod and Lauretta (Leonard) Lannigan. Mother-in-law of Freda (Clarence) Savoie. Grandmother of Nicole Hackett (John Earl Knox), Kathy MacDonald (David Gregory), Krista Betts (Steve), Michael MacDonald (Kate MacKenzie), Nicholas MacLeod, Sarah MacLeod (Jack Panting), Jessica MacLeod, Devan Lannigan, Stephanie Lannigan (Arthur Doyle) and Tyler Lannigan. Great-grandmother of Austin, Jazmine, Harrison, John Michael, Edward, James and Alexis. Also survived by brothers-in-law, Allison Leduc, Paul (Rita) MacDonald and sister-in-law, Isobel MacDonald.
Predeceased by her sons, James MacDonald and Charles MacDonald; her siblings, Rita (Andrew) MacKenzie, Winnifred (James) Daley, Elizabeth (Tom) McGee, James (Mildred) McGee, Margaret (Bill) MacCormack, Mary (Rupert) Wight, Agnes Leduc; mother and father-in-law, Edwin MacDonald and Adele MacDonald; brother and sisters-in-law, Rev. Andrew MacDonald C.S.s.R., Edwin MacDonald (Sandra and Trudy) and Sr. Theresa MacDonald O.L.M.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Funeral Home, Montague, with visiting hours on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Sturgeon, on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in parish cemetery.
Donations may be made in Agatha’s memory to St. Paul’s Cemetery fund or the activity fund at Perrin’s Marina Villa would be appreciated.
