Doris Irene Sailer - 82, formerly of New Minas, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Shannex - Blomidon Court, Greenwich, Kings County. Born in Jordan Falls, Shelburne County, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Jean (Sperry) Wamback. While living out west, she had been employed in the dry cleaning industry and later worked with Save-Easy and Sears, both in New Minas. She enjoyed bowling, curling and golfing and loved her cat. Together with her late husband, she was a National Member of the Royal Canadian Legion and was most recently affiliated with Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville. She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn (Gary) Bremner, Dartmouth; three sons, Chris (Loretta) Decker, New Minas; Jim (Yvonne) Decker, Jordan Falls, Shelburne County; Kevin Decker, Kentville; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Milton. Cremation has taken place. There was no visitation, by request. The funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Catherine Desloges officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or the charity of your choice.
