He took his release in 1970 and then went on to work for Valley Forest Products before returning to the base as a Roads and Grounds Superintendent for 12 years. On his retirement he became interested in antique cars, of which he had several that he enjoyed very much. In addition to his parents Bun was predeceased by his first wife, Mae (Millman); second wife, Beryl Thomas; brother, Albert (killed in action in France) and a sister, Dorothy. Bun was an avid Blue Jays fan and was not to be stumped by anything baseball. He enjoyed life to the fullest, always up for a new adventure near or far. He made sure he was a very involved Poppy to his granddaughters, never missing a birthday party, recital, graduation or wedding. His two little great-grandsons provided him with much laughter.
