BOURQUE, YVON - 1922 - 2014 - Yvon Bourque, 92, of Residence Beau Souvenir in Dieppe formerly of Lockhard Avenue Moncton, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday October 4, 2014 at the Residence Beau Souvenir in Dieppe. Born on May 14, 1922 in Scoudouc, he was the son of the late Henri and Alice (Gauvin) Bourque. Before his retirement, Yvon worked for CN for 35 years as a sheet metal worker. He was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus and CN Pensioners Association. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 70 years, Anne-Marie Belliveau of Dieppe; four daughters: Geraldine Melanson (Raymond), Patricia Babin (Fernand) and Yvette Mellon (Tim) all of Dieppe and Joanne Tingley (Peter) of Moncton; two sons: Léon (Cathy McAinsh) of Chalk River, ON and Bertrand (Simonne) of Moncton; one sister, Eleonore Bourque of Moncton; one haft-brother, Emery Gauvin of ON; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Claude and by one sister, Sr. Norma n.d.s.c.
By request, there will be no visitation at the funeral centre. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Chris-Roi Roman Catholic Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11 am. Interment will be in St-Jacques-le-Majeur Roman Catholic cemetery, Scoudouc. In memory of Yvon, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
