James 'Don' Perry

It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Don (Poly) Perry at the age of 78. Don peacefully passed at his home, with his wife Roberta of 54 loving years, by his side. He will be forever loved and forever missed by his children, Barb Perry Kinsella of London, Deborah (Carl) Perry-Cywink of Strathroy, Michael (Lea-Dawn) Perry of Crossfield, Alberta, and James Perry of Nanaimo, British Columbia. Proud grandfather of Tara Kinsella, Tyler Perry, Bennett Perry, Kevin Perry, Colten Perry, Jackson Perry, Karly Annie Cywink, Alana Perry, Jessica Thayer, and Jordan Van der Lann. Loving great-grandfather of Emma Perry and Marcus Perry. Dearly missed by sisters Doreen (Don) Hood, Evelyn (Gary) Larin and Marie (late Ernest) Pineau. Survived by his brother Bill (Louise) Perry. Predeceased by parents Sophie and Lloyd (Poly) Perry, sister Marcella (Rene) Beauchimun, brothers Roy (Elaine) Perry, Enzer (Verna) Perry. Dearly missed by so many very special nieces and nephews. Don proudly served his country with the Royal Canadian Regiment for 28 and a half years and the Department of National Defense for a total of 41 years. Don leaves behind the 4 o’clock Happy Hour friends in Florida and Ipperwash. A funeral service will be held at the Forest Chapel Of Denning Funeral Directors, 9 James Street, South, Forest, Ontario, on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 3 p.m. with two hours visitation prior (1-3 p.m.). A luncheon to follow at the Forest Legion Branch 176. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the RCR Regimental Museum in London or the Diabetes Association.
