Our dear father, Beverly Mason Ward, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2014, in the company of his family.
Dad was born on August 16, 1925 in Toronto Ontario. As a student pastor at age 19, Dad followed a calling into the ministry that stretched across the country and included churches in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia. He preached his last sermon here on the Sunshine Coast at the age of 86. Dad married our mother and his wife of 64 years, Joyce Patricia Townend in 1950.
In such a few short days, he is already deeply missed and his passing greatly impacts each of us. Yet, just as he preached so earnestly all his life, we know he is with the Lord he so faithfully served.
He is survived by his wife and five children.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Gibsons on Saturday, October 18 at 2:30pm.
