Sophia will be greatly missed by her family. She made every minute count in her life. She was a great partner for her husband, Otto, whom she loved deeply; an awesome Mom and a great grandma to her grandchildren. Her extra time was spent on gardening and growing beautiful flowers, no-one could outmatch her green thumb. Her other interests included quilting, knitting and baking. She and Dad loved to travel in their motorhome. She was also her church’s pianist and organist for many years. She greatly enjoyed sports. Her favorite ball team was the Blue Jays. We will all miss her gentle spirit and caring ways. Mom we will love you forever and ever.
God looked around the garden, and found an empty space.
He looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you, and lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful for He only takes the best.
He knew that you were weary, and he knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never be well on earth again.
He saw the roads were getting rough and the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered “Peace be thine.”
