GAUTHIER: Arthur age 77 years of Ponteix, SK passed away on September 18, 2014 at the Foyer St. Joseph Nursing Home. The Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m. on September 22, 2014 from Notre dame d'Auvergne Roman Catholic Church with Father Guy Amedee Ainemon officiating. The Interment service was held in Notre Dame Parish Cemetery. The organist was Daniel Roberge, accompanied by Les Soeurs Notre Dame d'Auvergne; the readings were read by Sister Marie Paule Beliveau and Mrs. Alice Hammond, and the pallbearers were Armand Lemay, Norman Lemay, Emile Liboiron, Luc Gauthier, Victor Gauthier, and Donny Gauthier. Arthur is survived by his brothers Roland Gauthier, Henri (Jane) Gauthier, Emile (Bernie) Gauthier, and Armand (Loretta) Gauthier; sisters Odile (Raymond) Boutin, Yvonne (Henri-Paul) Liboiron, and Gertie Gauthier; brother-in-law Rene Van Helleputte; sisters-in-law May Gauthier and Islae Gauthier; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Jeanne Gauthier; wife Carmel (nee Lemire); brothers Maurice, Rene, and Phil; sisters Marianne (John) Scantland; Claire (Aime) Auger, Simone Gauthier, Therese Van Helleputte, and Alice Lemay; and sister-in-law Rose Gauthier. Arthur married Carmel Lemire on April 24, 1965 in Val Marie, SK. He was employed for Orphil Legault in Val Marie for many years. He was also a farmer in Ponteix, SK and worked for the Sisters of Notre Dame d'Auvergne until he went into the Foyer. Donations in Arthurs memory may be made to the Foyer St. Joseph Nursing Home. We the family of the Late Arthur Gauthier would like to express our thanks to those who have given such support and comfort following Arthur's passing. Thank you to Father Guy Amedee Ainemon for doing the service, to Paul and Colette Chabot for doing the prayers, and to the ladies of the parish for serving the lunches.
