Thomas Gordon Black

BLACK, THOMAS GORDON - Gordon Black of Belledune, NB passed away at the Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton on Friday, October 10, 2014. Born in River Louison, NB, he was the son of the late Edgar and Marguerita (Hamilton) Black. He is survived by his wife Millie (Doucet) Black, children Patti Connors (Dan) of Moncton, Dave (Wanda) of Moncton, Kevin (Vickie) of Moncton and Heather Poulin (Peter) of Benton, Maine. He is also survived by grandchildren Joshua Connors, Trevor Connors (Kristie Steele), Samantha Connors, Zachary Poulin, Matthieu Poulin, Justin Gallant (Natasha Lambe), Laura Gallant (Pat McKenna) and special Great-Grandchild Leland. He is also survived by his sister Ruby Searle (Bruce) and two brothers Harvey (Annie) and Donald (late Jean). He was predeceased by sisters Nan Mailey (late Harris),Peggy Hamilton (late Wilson) and Helen Black. Gordon retired from Brunswick Smelting in 1999 after 30 years service. Prior to that he worked at MacMillan's store for 12 years and for his uncle on the Lake of the Woods, Ontario. He was a member of Bethel United Church. He loved spending time with family, gardening and playing cards.
His Funeral will be held at Bethel United Church, Nash Creek, NB on Tuesday October 14 at 11:00 am. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point, NB. www.macmillansfuneralhome.ca
