MacKENZIE, SYDNEY WALTER - The passing of Sydney Walter MacKenzie, husband of the late Olive (Munn) MacKenzie, occurred on October 15, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 24, 1926 in Escuminac, Quebec he was the son of Archie and Lena (Briard) MacKenzie. Sydney is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews. Along with his wife, he is predeceased by his parents; his son, Kevin MacKenzie and his brothers, Stanley, Keith and Gerald MacKenzie.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Capital Community Church on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 4 pm with Rev. Raymond Woodward officiating. Interment will take place in the Dayton Cemetery.
