MURCHISON, ALICE - Alice Louise Murchison, age 93, of Point Prim, devoted wife of the late Charles Murchison, occurred on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown. Born January 7, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Heber and Louise (Campbell) Cripps. Alice is survived by her children Steven (Florence), Douglas and James; cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, Tammy, Jamie, Tara, Cory, Andrew, Christopher, Amy, Kelly, Daniel, Ben, Jacob and Joshua; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Also survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law Mary and Tom Purdy; sister-in-law Nora Ring and brother-in-law James Murchison. Alice was predeceased by her daughter Patsy Lynn; brother Clarence and sister Dorothy. Alice graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Saint John General Hospital, and practised until the birth of her first child, Patsy. She returned to nursing after her children were older and continued until moving to Point Prim with her husband Charles in 1980.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with visiting on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 2 to 5 pm. Funeral Service to be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm, at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Belfast. Interment to take place in the Polly Cemetery, Mt. Buchanan.
