The death occurred at the Community Hospital, O'Leary, surrounded by family on Thursday, October 16, 2014, of Alice Thibodeau of St. Edward aged 80 years. Beloved wife of Wilcey Thibodeau. She was born in St. Edward on November 20, 1933, the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Ann (Doucette) Chaisson. Dear mother to Bruce, Stoney Creek, On.; Terry (Helene), St. Bernard, N.S.; Robbie (Wilma), Tignish Shore; Sharon (Russell) Jones, Portage; Debbie (Keith) Coxworthy, St. Edward; and Laurie (Allan) Smythe, Meadowbank. Loving grandmother to Cheryl, Nicole, Holly, Bonnie, Shayne, Jean-Marc, Brent, Luc, Allana, Hilary, Elise, Alyson, Abbey and Justin and a great-granddaughter Jersey. She is survived by a brother Basil Chaisson, Tignish, and brothers and sisters-in-law Velton, Winnie Dort, Delia Gaudet, Roy (Dorothy), Arthur, Wilbert (Arlene), Mary Ann (Steve) Smith, Alice (Ronnie) Jones, Rita Chaisson and Bella Chaisson, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Mary Ann, sisters Catherine, May and Rita, brothers Alphonse, George, Eric, Wilfred, Medric and Phil, sister-in-law Melda, father and mother-in-law Frederick and Alma Thibodeau. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 9-10 a.m. Funeral will be held Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the Immaculate Conception Church Repair Fund would be greatly appreciated. Palmer Road CWL members will hold a prayer service Sunday evening at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment in the church cemetery.
