Passed peacefully away on his 78th birthday surrounded by his family at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Friday, October 17, 2014. Predeceased by his parents John and Amelia; sister Eileen; brother William and Sisters - in - law Veronica and Florence. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted wife of 54 years Annie (Hickey); children Greg (Bernadette), Leo (Marilyn), Halifax, NS, Karl (Michelle) and Keith (Susan), Ottawa, Ont; precious granddaughters Jenine, Leah and Amy; mother - in - law Elizabeth Hickey; brothers John and Edward (Anna); sisters - in - law Marie Murphy, Josephine Moores, Geraldine Hickey and Theresie Hickey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thank you to Dr. Robert Woodland and the staff at the L.A. Miller Centre, P.C. U. Cremation has taken place. Visitation from Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11 a.m. from Holy Rosary Church, Portugal Cove.
