Jerry died as he lived, gently and peacefully, at the St. John's Long Term Care Centre after a lengthy illness, aged 56 years on October 16, 2014. Jerry will be missed by his loving and loyal wife, Sharon (nee Wilkinson), and his cherished children Emily and Devin, who gave their lives to being with him throughout his illness. He is pre-deceased by his parents Harry and Mary Kelly of Gambo and his father-in-law, Doug Wilkinson of Flatrock. Also leaving to mourn are his siblings Bren (Marlene), Ester (Patrick Wilkins) and Bob (Sadie); mother-in-law, Ruby Wilkinson; siblings-in-law Glen (Kate Wilkinson), Derrick (Floss Wilkinson), Lisa (Jim Pittman), Lesley (Sam Gosse); nieces and nephews Brett, Shannon, Nicola, and Blair Kelly, Christopher and Jason Wilkins, Andrew and Olivia Pittman, Amelia and Ava Gosse, Kyle Wilkinson; and many relatives and friends. The eight year journey, with too many hills and valleys to mention, was made easier by the support from some wonderful friends. We thank you all, especially colleagues and professionals at Provincial Airlines and Canada Revenue Agency, and a real special thanks staff, residents and families at the Hoyles Protective Care Unit, 2 East and North West 3 at St. John's Long Term Care Centre. Visitation at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd, on Saturday, October 18 from 6-9 pm and Sunday, October 19 from 10am-4pm. Cremation to follow. Funeral service to take place from St. Michael's RC Church, Flatrock, on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 10am. Inurnment at a later date.
