SLOAN, ADA IRENE - The passing of Ada I. Sloan of Magaguadavic, NB, wife of the late Gordon Sloan, occurred on October 17, 2014 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB. Ada was born at Magaguadavic, NB on September 14, 1919, a daughter of the late George and Ina (Vance) Hamilton. She was a member of St. Andrews United Church. She is survived by her son, Garnet Sloan; four grandchildren, Rob Sloan (Kayla), Heather Walton (Ronnie), Patsy Pye (George) and Kim Thompson (Shaughn); several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Georgie Finnie and her husband, Vernon Finnie; a daughter-in-law, Hazel Sloan and a grandson, Lenny Brewer.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 1 pm until the hour of funeral service at 3 pm. Rev. John McMullin officiating. Interment at Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Ada, the family has suggested the Sunny Bank Cemetery.
