The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summeride, on Thursday, October 16, 2014, of Mary Winnifred Rogers (nee McLellan) of Summerside, and formerly of Carleton, aged 80 years. Mary was born in Bedeque to her late parents Edward and Edith (nee Sharkey) McLellan. Beloved wife of the late Clifford Rogers and loving mother of Debby Malone, Donnie (Amy), Deanna (Iggy) Landry, Beverly (Billy McCarville) and David (Laurie). Also lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brothers Charles, Wesley (Opal), Austin (Melvina), Leonard (Hazel) and sister in-law Judy. Besides her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by her brother Stuart, grandson Shannon and granddaughter Katelyn (in infancy), daughter-in-law Joan, sister-in-law Gloria and son-in-law Barry. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, Oct. 21, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in Lower Bedeque United Church Cemetery, Lower Bedeque. Memorial donations in Mary’s memory to the Lower Bedeque United Church Cemetery would be greatly appreciated.
