Passed peacefully away in the presence of loving family, Margaret Power (Stewart) of Freshwater, Placentia Bay in her 80th year. Predeceased by her husband, Michael, children Raymond and Annie, and grandson Adam. Left to celebrate her life and love of laughter, her children Emma (John Bishop), Genny (Bill Fraser), Caroline (Randy Janes), Elizabeth (Gerry Mallard), Mary (Larry Dunphy), Donna (Jerry Bruce), Rita, Michael (Elaine), brother Cyril Stewart (Margaret), and special companion George Wiscombe and his family. She took such pride in her grandchildren Stephanie, Stephen, Caeleigh, Devon, Bradley, David, Christopher, Jonathan, Erin, Matthew, Katie, Justin, Jessica, Shannon, Kelsey, Ross, Randy, and Mark, and her great-grandchildren Tanner, Ryan and Sarah, plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Special thanks to staff and residents of Meadow Creek Retirement Centre; Dr. George Fox; staff of Health Science Centre Recovery Room, Intensive Care Unit and 5 North A for their exceptional compassionate care. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, October 19 from 2-9 p.m. and Monday, October 20 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Corpus Christi on Tuesday, October 21 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre.
