AIRD, JAMES ROBERT - (1940 - 2014) - SAINT-EDOUARD-DE-KENT, NB - It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of James Aird, 74, at his residence Ti Bon Soin in Shediac on Monday, October 20, 2014. Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late James F. Aird and Dorothy (Johanges) Aird. Before retiring, James served with the Canadian Armed Forces for 39 years, most notably as an expert in explosive ordinance disposal. James will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Lillian Aird of Shediac; two daughters, Edwina Ramsay of Moncton, Trina Aird (Elizabeth) of Ottawa; one son, Mark Aird (Amanda) of Kingston, ON; three very special granddaughters, Kaela, McKenzie and Lauren. James is also survived by several brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Friday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00 am, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Interment will be in the Aldouane Roman Catholic Cemetery.
