June Haslett

HASLETT, JUNE - On Wednesday, October 22, 2014, June Marie Haslett, loving wife of 46 years to the late William Lloyd Haslett, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her beloved family by her side. Born in Coldstream, NB, she is the daughter of the late Ransford and Sue (Swim) Trecartin. June began her career doing what came natural to her as a registered nurse at the Saint John General Hospital. She remained there for 30 years, retiring in 1982. In addition to her nursing, June and her husband Bill, were life-long partners through the years running several family businesses. She was also an active member of the former Main Street Baptist Church, now known as Rivercross Church. She was such a caring lady, kind and giving, always there to help her family or anyone in need, in any way that she could. She adored time spent with her family and her children have fond memories of their earlier years spending summers on the Peninsula at the camp in Whitehead or their winter trips to Florida. June’s love for her family, her kindness and her amazing sense of humour will be forever remembered and greatly missed. She is survived by her sons William (Nancy) Haslett, Rothesay and Peter (Rachel) Haslett, Saint John; daughter Suanne de Bot, North Carolina; brothers Duke (Glenna), Bob (Mary) and Kenneth (Noreen) Trecartin; sister Hilda Barrett; her grandchildren Billy, Kate, Nick and Morgan Haslett and several extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband Bill, June was predeceased by her brothers Ted and Gilbert Trecartin and sisters Shirley Craig and Eileen Picard.
