Francis Luke Miller

Passed in: Sydney
Passed on: October 24th, 2014

God has called another angel home. Our hearts runneth over with sadness and love as we announce the passing of Francis Luke Miller on Oct. 24, 2014.
Frank enjoyed 35 years with Air Canada which gave him the opportunity to explore many places around the world. After retirement he enjoyed his passion of hunting and fishing.
For those who knew him well, it was not uncommon for Frank to be seen washing his car, telling a story about Fogo Island where he was born or watching The Price is Right, while having his noon cup of tea.
He leaves behind the love of his life for the past 60 years, Agnes (Gallaway); daughter, Ann Marie (John), Dartmouth; sons, Jim (Dianna) and Robert (Natalie), both of Sydney and Tom (Debbie) and Joe (Alison), both of Dartmouth, and John (Wendy), Ottawa; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Josie (Ron), B.C and Jean (Gord), Ontario.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Mary Miller; sister, Marie and brother, Jack.
We would like to thank the VON Adult Program; Dr. Glenn Gracie and Dr. M. Smith and especially the staff at Harbourstone Enhanced Care (Wentworth Court) for making Frank’s last year’s safe and comfortable. The family could not have done this without all of you.
Frank had a kind and warm spirit which everyone felt when in his presence.
Donations may be made in Frank’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Visitation for Frank will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at St. Theresa’s Church, Sydney. Rev. Jim Oliver will officiate. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
