Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Saturday, October 25, 2014, Joseph P. Long of Champney’s East in his 92nd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his loving wife of 32 years, Sarah; step-children Diane Balsom (Jim) of Clarenville, Sharon Day (Ed) of St. John’s, Pansy Payne (Vincent) of Fogo and Harold Walters (Carolyn) of St. John’s; 6 grand-children; 10 great grand-children, nieces; nephews; brother Heber Long of Ont; sister Emily Shears of Ont. Sister-in-law Margaret Long of Champney’s East plus a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral service was officiated by Rev. Squires on Wednesday October 29, 2014 from St. Clements Anglican Church, Champney’s West with interment following at Champney’s East Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Blundon’s Funeral Home, Shoal Harbour.
