BUCHANAN, Jennie “Pauline” 79 of East Green Harbour, passed away at Roseway Hospital Tuesday, October 28, 2014 with her family by her side. Born in Lockeport she was a daughter of the late Winslow and Jennie (Burke) Williams. Pauline was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary Branch #80, Lockeport, and a long standing member of the Jordan Falls Baptist Church. She worked at National Sea as a Supervisor for many years. Pauline loved to sing and even wrote her own songs. Pauline enjoyed bowling and played in leagues in both Shelburne and Lockeport. She knit continually from daylight to dark and was known as the “Sock Lady” and her socks and crafts were known worldwide. She was a generous person who helped others in many ways. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Reginald, daughters, Paulette (Donald) Scott, East Jordan, Kathy Davis of Seal Point, brothers, Percy Williams, Elmsdale and Lewis Williams, East Green Harbour, grandchildren, John, Julie, Karah, DJ, Darcie and Shawn, great grandchildren, Caitlin, Larissa, Kyle, Kody and Gage. She was predeceased by sons Moyle and Oliver, brothers Aubrey and Kit, sisters Daisy, Nora and Doris. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 31 in Jordan Falls Baptist Church with Rev. David Hopper officiating. Burial was in the Harbour Light Pentecostal Cemetery, East Green Harbour. Memorial donations may be made to the Gideon Bibles or to a charity of choice.
