Rose Paczkoski
Passed on: October 25th, 2014
PACZKOSKI - Rose (Rosary Baranosky) - April 12, 1919 - October 25, 2014 "I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are mine." Is 43:1. With family at her bedside, Rose quietly and peacefully slipped away to her eternal home on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Rose was born in Athabasca, AB, the youngest child of Kazimer and Helen Baranosky. Life was challenging for this Polish immigrant family so they eventually relocated to the Deepdale area of Manitoba where they found friendship and support of other similar families. Rose met and married Stanley Paczkoski in 1939. Life took them to Kelowna where Stan was born. It was very difficult to make a living there so when an opportunity for work came up, they packed up, got on the train and moved to Ontario where Lyle was born. After a while, they longed to be near family and moved back to Manitoba where Elaine was born. Again in 1952, life presented a new opportunity for Stan and the family moved to Saskatchewan where they resided until their passing. Rose was pre-deceased buy her parents, her siblings, an infant daughter in 1949 and her husband, Stan, in 1997. Celebrating Rose's life today are her sons, Stan (Gloria), and Lyle (Shirley), daughter Elaine (Roland Magee), and numerous grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from Parkside Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Friesen officiating. Special music was preformed by Jaden & Brett Skauge. The interment took place at Mount Pleasant Burial Park. Memorial donations in memory of Rose may be made to the Herbert-Morse Integrated Health Care Facility.
