Zora Kujundzic (nee Cizmic)

Zora Kujundzic (nee Cizmic)

1940-2014
Peacefully, on Friday, October 31, 2014, Zora ended her brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Zrenjanin, former Yugoslavia, on March 2, 1940.
Zora leaves Rajko (Ray), her loving husband and life companion of 57 years; her two sons, Neb and Daniel; her daughter-in-law, Silva; and her two granddaughters, Katarina and Hannah.
She chose the teaching profession early in her life, and continued to excel as a teacher until the 1992 war forced her to move to Canada where she found the strength to adapt to her new life and even to continue her teaching career. Zora touched the lives of many not only because of her teaching but also because of her genuinely warm and caring personality. Soon after she moved to Prince Edward Island in 2001, she found a new home in Sherwood where she enjoyed gardening, entertaining her granddaughters, listening to music, and the company of her favourite cat, Franky.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral service Wednesday from Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church at 10 a.m. Interment in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Visiting hours Tuesday from 3 -6 p.m.
A special word of thanks to the staff of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Provincial Palliative Care Unit for their dedicated care.
