LEGAULT: Debra Elaine Legault(nee Olson). Debbie passed away on October 25, 2014 at the Cypress House in Swift Current after a lengthy battle with cancer. Debbie was born on May 26, 1952 and was the third child born to Francis & Orla Olson of Val Marie SK. Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Orla Olson, two cousins, Carl Olson and Wade Strong, one grandchild- Baby Legault and several aunts & uncles. Left behind to cherish her memories are her 3 children and their families: Carmen (Duane) Hanson, their children Jayne and Arlis; Karson (Sue); Cody (January), their children Damon and McKenna, sister Sharyn Erne (Vern Letkeman); brothers Kal Olson; Mel (Bernice) Olson, and all of their families; brother in law Edward (Patsy) Legault and their family. She also has many cousins that will always remember her big smile and love of adventure. Debbie married Gayle Legault in Val Marie in 1971 and together they had their 3 children. They later divorced and Debbie moved into Val Marie and continued to live in the house her parents had built until the time of her passing. Debbie had a special gift of making everyone welcome and there are not very many people that have not had something to eat or drink at Debbie's house. The Celebration of Life was held in Val Marie at the Church of the Nativity, on October 31, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Ron and Lorne Silvester and Collin Orr leading the service. Lemieux Funeral Home in Ponteix and Warren's Funeral Home in Swift Current were in charge of arrangements. Interment took place at Val Marie Cemetery. In Debbie's memory memorial donations may be made to the Twin Lakes Ranch Ministry or the Val Marie Ambulance Service Auxiliary.
