It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Joseph Allen Ryan on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, surrounded by his family at the QE II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax.
Joe is survived by his wife Arlene (Jesty), his parents, Robert and Jean Ryan, his four brothers, Wayne, Blaise (Martha), Shaun (Judith), Paddy (Debbie), his eight sisters, Phyllis (Yorke), Roberta (Gerald), Monica (Blaine), Clare (Tommy), Carmelita, Michelle (Steve), LaRose (Chester), Norma Jean (Lyndon), his two children, Allan and Jayne, many aunts uncles nieces and nephews.
Joe was predeceased by his nephew Bobby Joe, and brother-in-law Ed Corrigal.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5 in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney.
Memorial donations may be made to Nova Scotia Lung Association.
