Rhobena Richardson

RICHARDSON, RHOBENA - It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Rhobena Richardson, age 86, of Sackville. Rhobena passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Drew Nursing Home on Thursday, November 6, 2014. Born in Midgic, NB, she was a daughter of the late Alder and Jessie (Hicks) Estabrooks. Rhobena was married to her loving husband Bill for 67 years until his passing in 2013. She worked her life in the food industry, working for Bordens Restaurant and Food Services at Mount Allison University. Rhobena loved to crochet and quilt, and had a great interest in birds and flowers. Rhobena will be sadly missed by her children, Davis (Carol) Richardson, Joan (Ralph) Smith, Jessie (Stephen) Boorne, William "Bill" (Peggy) Richardson and Joy (Charles) Estabrooks; grandchildren, Krista, Scott, Kimberly, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Anthony, Sarah, William, Amanda, James, Megan, Patrick and Robin; 17 great-grandchildren; brother Nelson (Gloria); sister Juanita Wilbur; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Rhobena was predeceased by a son Michael at birth; great granddaughter Mae-Zoey; brothers Wesley, Alder, Vincent, Davis, Lawrence and Henderson; sisters Hattie Sears, Grace White and Christina Lee.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). Family and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 pm. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1 pm from the Jones Funeral Home, Pastor Vernon Vickruck officiating. Burial will follow in the Sackville Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in Rhobena's memory may do so to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society.
