FITZPATRICK (MILLS) CHILD, PHYLLIS - Phyllis passed away on November 17, 2014 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 19, 1922 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late William and Essie (Hatt) Child. She is the wife of Joseph R. Fitzpatrick. Phyllis was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She lived most of her life in West Saint John, where she worked at the Kmart until her retirement. Besides her husband Joseph, Phyllis is also survived by one son, Gary W. Mills (Nancy) of West Saint John; daughter, Phyllis Duffley (Michael) of Woodstock; grandchildren Shawn, Bradley, Lisa and Shelly Patton, Krista McCluskey, Ryan Duffley and Ryan Delong; 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; one step-granddaughter, Dawn Brehaut (Charles) and two step-great-granddaughters, Hayley and Kelsey Brehaut. Predeceased by her first husband, James F. Mills, son, Francis Mills; brothers, Edward, Vincent, Paddy; sisters, Elizabeth Goldie and Winifred (Craft) Duffy.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425) with visiting on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Church, 541 Milford Road, West Saint John on Friday, November 21, at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, West Saint John.
