The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Monday, November 24, 2014, of Gladys Mae Bryan (nee Walsh) of Summerside, aged 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Heber Bryan. Gladys was extremely proud of the life that she and Heber had together and was thankful for the many years of marriage that they enjoyed before his death in 2004. Gladys was most proud of their son David and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family above all else and cherished her friends dearly. Gladys will be sadly missed by her son David (Debbie) of St. Catharines, ON; grandson Peter (Heather) of Dartmouth, NS, grandson Andrew (Thuy-deceased) of Mississauga, ON; granddaughter Julia Bryan-Schmale (Jamie) of Lindsay, ON; grandson Justin Roberts (Jasmine) and granddaughter Amanda Boccinfuso (Mathew) both of St. Catharines, ON; along with 8 great-grandchildren; sister Margaret Wood of Boston, MA; and niece Mary Gardsmith (David) of Summerside, P.E.I. Gladys's family would like to acknowledge and extend a heart-felt thanks to Juliette Squarebriggs for the care, love and companionship she gave to Gladys over the last few years. Besides her husband, Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Golden and Esther (nee MacPherson) Walsh and her sister Florence. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Thursday, Nov. 27, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery, O'Leary. Memorial donations in Gladys's memory to St. John's Anglican Church, St. Eleanors, would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday morning only, from 9:30 until time of funeral service.
