Willy lived in Reserve Mines for many years. He loved going hunting and fishing with his two brothers, Sheldon and Arnold and with his friends, George, Glenn and Rocky. Willy truly enjoyed cleaning his house as well as his truck; everything had to be in order. Even his yard had to look neat and tidy, something he and his son, Eric took great pride in doing.
His computer and his two dogs, Skippy and Bronx brought him great joy. Willy enjoyed taking his mother out for drives. He also liked going for coffee with his daughter, Jennifer. Willy always loved having his sister, Patricia drop by for a visit. His family and grandchildren brought much love to his life. Although a small man he was very strong and able; he will be remembered for his big smile and his ability to make people laugh.
Willy is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Aucoin (Norman); son, Eric Joseph Aucoin (Morgan McPhee); grandchildren, Tessa, Ryan, Nicholas, Bianca, Madison and Brooklynn Aucoin. Willy was predeceased by his wife, Linda (Noal) Aucoin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral mass officiated by Rev. Dan Boudreau will be celebrated on Thursday, 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Reserve Mines followed by interment in St. Eugene’s Cemetery, Dominion.
