November 23, 1924 - November 28, 2014. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Hospital, just after celebrating her 90th birthday, Anne Daley (nee Finlay) of St. Joseph's, S.M.B.. Predeceased by husband John, daughter Lorraine, parents George & Madelyn (nee McNeil) Finlay, stepmother Elsie Finlay (nee Molloy); brothers: Tom (Rita), Philip, David and infant brother George, sisters Jenny (Harris) Bowering and Mary (Bill) Lewis, sisters-in-law: Edna (Maurice) Daly, Clo (Dick) Singleton, Mercedes (John) Lee and Laura Daley; brothers-in-law: Michael Myrick, Johnny Francis Finlay, Peter Myrick, Alban (Catherine) Daley and Charlie (Nora) Daley; nephews: Randy, Tom & John Daley and Georgie Myrick, niece Yvonne Myrick, great-nephew John Molloy and exceptional friend Wilson Ryan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons: Sean (Sandra), Brian (Barb), Bruce (Beverly) and Noel: grandchildren: Kevin, Danny, John, David, Bernadette, Lorraine, Liam and Cian; sisters: Elizabeth Finlay (Ron), Regina Myrick (Fabian), Theresa Myrick and Barb (Johnny) Myrick; sisters-in-law: Marie Finlay (Don), Cee Finlay and Marion Kenny, brother-in-law Al Daley, special cousin Bill Finlay; her homecare workers: Rosemary Power, Michelle Dalton and Suzanna Hickey, special neighbours Tony & Maureen Healey, Joe & Lil Davis and Joe & Emma Ryan, as well as, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including Marie Butler, Marion Tremblett, Helena Gough, Mildred Tobin, Anna Power, Marie Gregory, Elizabeth Daley, Mary Gough, Rachel Gushue, Mike Gray, Elizabeth Lee, Debbie Carew, Joan & Leo Ryan, Jane Pellitier, Deanna Dunn, Ed Fagan, Gertie Daley, the Montanari family, especially two of the finest, Lucy and Peter, the Bowering family who though a continent apart remained so steadfastly embedded in Mom's life and so many more individuals, the recording of which would be an unwelcome editorial challenge. A sincere thank you is extended to Don Greene who administered the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist to Mom every weekend and a final thank you to Father Melvin who administered the Holy Sacrament of Extreme Unction to our alert and engaged Mother during her final hours as her body surrendered and her soul began its final preparation to rise defiant of any earthly hold and have fulfilled the promise of Eternal Life in which she so fervently believed and which we choose to believe as well. We shall see Mom again - face to face. Resting at Enright Memorial Chapel, St. Joseph's (church) on Tuesday, December 2, from 2 - 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 3, at 11am, at St. Joseph's Church. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will be held at a later time.
